Career Firefighter / EMT

East Valley Fire is always looking for the most qualified candidates to fill vacant/new positions at our agency. We maintain an active list for entry level Career Firefighter/EMT’s. East Valley has determined not to establish any set duration of the longevity of a list and reserves the right to seek out new candidates or refresh the list at its discretion at any time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High-School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be insurable to drive department vehicles
• Must have a Washington State EMT-B or National EMT-B + Obtain WA ST certification (condition of employment)
• Must have a Firefighter 1 IFSAC Certification (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress)
• NWCG Wildland Firefighter II
• Preferred candidate will have a strong background in communication
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must be positive and creative in identifying solutions to problems
• 21 years of age upon appointment
• Documented CPAT Test
